FortiClient VPN - How To Connect

This article outlines the steps to establish a connection with the JBS VPN. The VPN is crucial for accessing network drives and various JBS-specific applications. It is recommended to be connected to the VPN when working remotely.
Prerequisites
The steps provided in this article presume that your VPN is licensed, and you are on the VPN access list. If you are not on the VPN access list, you will need to reach out to your Center Lead to be added. Procedure
- Open the FortiClient application from the start menu.
- Navigate to the "Remote Access" section of the VPN.

- In the Remote Access section, select a VPN name as follows:
- To connect to HQ, select JBS Corporate SAML

- To connect to San Mateo, select JBS CA SAML

- Click on the SAML Login button to start the connection, this will bring up a Microsoft Login page. Login with your email address and current password.

- A successful sign in will bring up a Microsoft Authenticator prompt. Please note that you will need to complete the authentication before the timer in parentheses in the title bar runs out.
- Once you have authenticated, the VPN will begin to connect.
- If you receive an error message after connecting, please contact the IT Helpdesk for assistance. Make a note or screenshot of any error messages that are received.
