Configuring your Display
Summary
Users can set up multiple monitors with your personal computer (PC) in a variety of orientations. This guide will go over the steps to configure monitors and the benefits to different styles of monitor orientation.
Different styles of monitor orientation

PC screen only
- Makes your secondary monitor blank
- Used if you're working on something confidential and you don't want anyone else to see

Second Screen only
- Makes your PC monitor blank
- Also used if you're working on something confidential
- Duplicate
- Makes all your screens display the exact same thing
- Useful for presentations in certain scenarios
- Also useful for displaying information onto larger screens while you manage the information on a smaller screen
- Extended
- Standard for work
- Easiest to navigate
- Gives the most amount of room to work with as it extends your monitors
- Configurable/Customizable
- Useful in most any scenario
How to Configure your monitor
- Right click anywhere on the desktop and go to display settings
- In the pop-up display window in the top you can rearrange your displays by:
- Identifying which monitor is which by clicking on the Identify button.
- Numbers will display at the bottom of the screen.
- Re-arrange the screens so that the numbers are ordered in the desired orientation by dragging the screens left, right, above, or below.

- Detect is used if one of your monitors won't turn on
- If your displays aren't on the correct orientation setting, you can configure this at the bottom of the window under the "Multiple Displays" section


Alternatively, if you just need to arrange your screens and don't need any other settings you can:
- Press the windows key + P
- In the side pop up choose the correct orientation setting

Additional Information
- You can change your display resolution and screen orientation from the display settings
- The default resolution is 1920x1080
- The default orientation is landscape
- If you tilt your monitor to work, you can change the display setting to portrait
- You can change your main display by selecting the option "Make this my main display"
- If you change your main display, all of your icons will then switch to that monitor
- JBS provides 2 monitors to full time employees, however, your laptop screen can be used as a third monitor and your computer will adjust accordingly
- 3 new options will appear
- Duplicate on screens 1+2
- Duplicates whatever is designated as screens 1+2
- Duplicate on screens 1+3
- Duplicates whatever is designated as screens 1+3
- Extend screen to this display (If looking at display 2)
- Extends the PC screen to one of your other monitors
